1. General information
This policy explains how Crown Blaster, a physics puzzle game by Sova Game Studio, handles your information. In short: the game has no account or sign-in and we never ask for your email or contact details; you may choose a player name for the leaderboards if you wish. The game shows ads provided by Google AdMob and uses Google Firebase to measure how the game is played, to adjust game settings remotely, to run the world leaderboard and to let you move your progress to a new device; Google collects certain device data for these purposes, as described below.
2. Data we collect
Crown Blaster has no account or sign-in and no game server of our own; the leaderboard and progress transfer described below use Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) in our Firebase project. With your consent where required (section 6), the game sends pseudonymous usage data to Google Firebase Analytics: gameplay events (such as levels started and finished, shots, rewards, ads watched and purchases made), a random app-instance identifier, device and app information (such as device model, operating system, language and app version) and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this data only in aggregate to understand how the game is played, balance levels and fix problems; we do not use it to identify you and we do not sell it. Firebase Remote Config lets us change game settings (such as how often ads between levels appear) without an update; it uses the same app-instance identifier. With the same consent, if the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report (the error and where it happened in the game's code, device model, operating system version, free memory and disk space, and the same random identifier) so we can fix the problem. Google also receives data for advertising (section 5) and for purchases (section 4).
3. Data stored on your device
Your progress (unlocked levels, stars, in-game gold, lives and boosters), your settings (music, sound, vibration and language), your ad consent choice, the daily reward time and records of completed purchases are stored only on your device so the game can work. This information is not sent to us (except your leaderboard entry and a progress copy you ask for, section 3a) and is deleted when you uninstall the game. Reminders (for example "your lives are full") are local notifications scheduled on your device only if you allow notifications; no data is sent for them, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings. The occasional rating request is shown by the system (Apple / Google) and the game receives no information about your rating.
3a. Leaderboards, player name and progress transfer
From level 10 the game shows a world leaderboard. To keep your place on it, the game creates an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier for this installation (no name, email or sign-in) and stores in Google Cloud Firestore: your highest level, a randomly generated nickname (an animal and a number), your avatar picture and your country (from your device's region setting) for the country board. Player name (optional): only if you type a name on your profile screen, that name (3-12 letters or digits, checked against an offensive-words filter) is stored with your entry and shown instead of the nickname; you can change it or clear it at any time. Crown Race: during a 3-day race the number of crowns you win is stored with the same nickname or name and avatar, so that you compete with other real players. Reporting: if you long-press a name on a leaderboard and report it, the anonymous identifiers of you and of the reported entry and the time of the report are stored so that we can review and remove offensive names. Other players see only the nickname or name, avatar, level and crowns. The entry stays on the leaderboard after you uninstall the game; to have it removed, write to us with the nickname shown in the game. Progress transfer: only if you tap "Get code" in Settings, the game uploads a copy of your progress (the items listed in section 3) to Cloud Firestore under a random 8-character code. The code works once on another device within 7 days; the copy is deleted when it is used or when you get a new code, and expired codes are deleted regularly.
4. In-app purchases
Crown Blaster offers optional in-app purchases: coin packs, a booster pack, a one-time starter pack and cosmetic machines (appearance only). Payments are processed entirely by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iOS). Sova Game Studio does not receive or store your payment card, billing address or any other payment information. The store processes purchases under its own privacy policy.
5. Advertising
Crown Blaster shows two kinds of ads provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC): rewarded video ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward (such as extra shots or a life), and full-screen ads that may appear between levels. There are no banner ads. To deliver, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (and approximate location derived from it), device and app information (such as device model, operating system and language) and ad interaction data (such as ad views and taps). Sova Game Studio does not receive this data. Learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Consent and your ad choices
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown and before analytics data is collected; if you do not consent, analytics stays off and you may see non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from Privacy options in the game's Settings. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). On iPhone and iPad the game asks for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency) before your advertising identifier can be used; if you decline, ads are not personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
7. Third-party services
Google Play and the Apple App Store distribute the game and process purchases. Google AdMob provides ads (section 5). Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Crashlytics provide usage measurement, remote game settings and crash reports (section 2); Firebase Authentication (anonymous) and Cloud Firestore run the leaderboard and progress transfer (section 3a); see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. The game is built with the Unity engine; Unity analytics, crash reporting and hardware statistics are turned off. No other third-party services are included.
8. Children
Crown Blaster is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
9. Your choices and data requests
The analytics data described in section 2 is pseudonymous and is kept by Google Firebase for a limited period (at most 14 months). You can turn analytics off by withdrawing consent in Privacy options (where available) and you can ask us to delete the analytics data linked to your device by writing to us; uninstalling the game also resets the app-instance identifier and removes all data stored on your device. To remove your leaderboard entry, write to us with the nickname shown in the game. For data collected by Google for advertising, see Google's privacy tools at https://myaccount.google.com. You can contact us with any privacy question.
